SINGAPORE SNAPS: Back to Indonesia

I left Singapore in a hurry -- running back from the stamp museum, grabbing a taxi, to the ferry, to Batam, to the airport. I was very taken with the Batam airport bathroom for some reason (grime and pink is strangely compelling) and of course who couldn't fall in love with the loneliest little potted plant in the world.

I still can't figure out what I'm supposed to do with the bucket of water beside the toilet though. Flush? Make-shift bidet? There never is any toilet paper. . but the bucket is too big for anything less than a mini-shower. . .perplexing. . .

HOw can no one comment on this one? That poor plant.....and that toilet!!!! Do you suppose they used that toilet water to hydrate that poor plant...that could be the answer to both bucket and plant issues......I really don't think that plant has a chance....I will say a prayer (a couple prayers)

I know. . .that plant looks a little bit like I feel. It needs all the help it can get, poor little thing! I really do think the bucket is meant for wiping but that water has just been sitting there and sitting there. . .collecting who know what kind of microorganisms. Ich!
