I know it's so great! They actually put all of the Gods outside of the temple because back in the day the untouchables couldn't enter so they could get what's called darsan (benefit/worship just by seeing the god) standing outside of the temple without having to pollute the temple by going inside.
I decided to be an untouchable that day. Wasn't feeling particularly upper caste friendly.
